MOBA Housing SCE is a network of organizations from the Czech Republic (Sdílené domy / První Vlaštovka), Croatia (Open Architecture Cooperative), Hungary (ACRED / Zuglói Kollektív), Slovenia (Zadrugator) and Serbia (Pametnija Grada), with the support of the Cooperative for Ethical Financing and Organization urbaMonde and World Habitat. We are responding to similar problems of lack of housing policy and affordable housing in our cities and states, and we have designed a common approach based on the cooperative model. We joined forces in 2017 to overcome obstacles together and make a breakthrough for a new model of cooperative housing. Since then, we have regularly met and cooperated in order to gather the necessary knowledge and capacities and develop financial instruments to launch pilot projects of housing cooperatives in our region. Since 2020, we have been registered in Pula as a European cooperative society (SCE), with a permanent office in Zagreb.
Tasks and benefits
At MOBA Housing SCE, we are looking for an Expert on architecture and urbanism who will be supporting development of Project outputs and supporting work on Key Project activities on EU projects. We offer part-time employment (6 hours per day), with the possibility of extended collaboration in future.
There is a possibility for employment regulated by other type of work contract besides an employment contract.

What are You going to do:
- Support the process of identification and mapping of dwellings in rural communities by contributing to setting the criteria and methodology for identification and supporting regional partners in the mapping process
- Support the analysis of the collected data and the preparation of policy recommendations
- Participate in giving new function to dwellings and innovative renovation ideas by implementing community engagement activities
- Other project support activities
Your key expertise:
- Socially and environmentally sustainable architectural design
- Knowledge on spatial planning regulations and zoning
- Knowledge on building renovation
- Experience on designing public buildings
- Knowledge on sustainable and affordable housing
Your key skills:
- Development of innovative renovation concepts/ideas
- Mapping and analysis of dwellings
- Communication and facilitation skills
